Balloon Safaris
A safari from the sky, with no road tracks to follow — a bird's-eye view of the Serengeti at first light, then a landing ceremony with champagne and a full breakfast cooked out in the bush.
We've partnered with the best balloon safari providers so our clients fly at the best rates and with the easiest logistics — balloon operators work only from inside the parks, so booking through us beats booking direct.
Night game drives aren't permitted in the Serengeti, so the drive out to the launch site in the last dark of the morning is often the only chance to spot nocturnal wildlife before the balloon lifts at first light.
Add this to my safariWhy add this
- A bird's-eye view of the Serengeti — from 3,000 feet you can see almost every detail on a cloudless day
- One of the best sunrises anywhere, watched from the basket as the plains wake up beneath you
- A landing ceremony — honouring certificate, champagne toast, then a full English bush breakfast
Where to do it
- Seronera, central Serengeti — flies year-round
- Kogatende, north Serengeti — Jul–Nov, follows the migration north
- Kirawira, west Serengeti — Jun–Sep, follows the migration west
- Ndutu, south Serengeti/north Ngorongoro — Dec–Mar, the calving season
- Tarangire — flies year-round
- Ruaha — Jul–Aug only (peak season)
Tell us when you can leave, and we will do the rest.
A first conversation takes about twenty minutes and costs nothing. You will speak with the person who designs the route, not a call centre.
