Night Game Drives
A lot happens in the African bush after dark that a normal game drive never sees. Special equipment and expert guides are required, which makes the permits harder to come by — and the drive itself quieter and far less crowded.
Add this to my safariWhy add this
- Aardvark, pangolin, hippo out of the water, hunting lion, porcupine, leopard, civet, genet, white-tailed mongoose, and cape hare
- A quieter, far less crowded drive than the daytime equivalent
Where to do it
- Lake Manyara — the most popular park for night drives, with moonlight on the lake
- Tarangire — the only other northern-circuit park that permits it
- The southern circuit (Selous, Mikumi, Ruaha) — all permit night drives
Tell us when you can leave, and we will do the rest.
A first conversation takes about twenty minutes and costs nothing. You will speak with the person who designs the route, not a call centre.
