Kenya's three great landscapes in one loop from Nairobi — elephants beneath Kilimanjaro in Amboseli, a boat and a walk among giraffe at Lake Naivasha, then two nights on the plains of the Masai Mara.
Day by Day
Met at your Nairobi hotel or the airport, then south through the Kenyan countryside to Amboseli, arriving for lunch. An evening game drive among the park's great elephant herds, lion, giraffe and zebra, with Kilimanjaro on the skyline in the last light. Overnight at Praro Amboseli Camp.
A full day of game viewing with a picnic lunch — elephant, lion, cheetah, giraffe and the park's rich birdlife, all against the mountain. Back at camp in the late afternoon to enjoy the property. Overnight at Praro Amboseli Camp.
An early start for the drive to Lake Naivasha, arriving for lunch. In the afternoon, a boat out across the lake for hippo and birdlife, then a guided walking safari on Crescent Island among giraffe, zebra and antelope. Overnight at Lake Naivasha Simba Lodge.
Through the Great Rift Valley to the Masai Mara, arriving for lunch, then an afternoon game drive across the plains in search of the Big Five. Back at camp at sunset. Overnight at Zebra Plains Mara Camp.
A full day on the Mara with a picnic lunch, deep into the reserve's most wildlife-rich country for lion, elephant, cheetah, buffalo and giraffe. A sunset stop on the way back to camp. Overnight at Zebra Plains Mara Camp.
After breakfast, a visit to a traditional Maasai village, then the drive back to Nairobi. Dropped at your hotel or the airport in the late afternoon.
