Day by Day
Met at Kigali airport or your hotel for the two-and-a-half-hour drive east to Akagera, with stops along the way for the scenery and photographs. Check in at the lodge, then a sunset boat cruise on Lake Ihema for hippo and crocodile in the water and along the shore. Overnight at Ruzizi Tented Lodge.
An early breakfast, then a full day of game driving in search of the Big Five — lion, rhino, elephant, buffalo and leopard — with kob, giraffe, zebra and baboon, and more than 500 bird species in the park. Transfer back to Kigali in the evening.
