Day by Day
VIP meet-and-greet at Kigali International Airport, with fast-track through visa and luggage. Your private guide takes you through the city's markets, galleries and the Genocide Memorial, then a coffee masterclass at Question Coffee and lunch at the Hôtel des Mille Collines. North through the Land of a Thousand Hills to Musanze, past coffee and banana plantations, about three hours. A visit to the Ellen DeGeneres Campus of the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund to learn about the gorillas and the work done to protect them, then a quiet afternoon at the hotel. An early briefing at park headquarters, then into the forest with a ranger to find a gorilla family and spend one hour in their company. Back to park headquarters for a golden monkey trek — playful troops in the bamboo, with other primates, birds and forest plants along the way. Lunch at the hotel, then the drive to Kigali International Airport for your flight home.
